Española is one of the Galápagos Islands . The English called it Hood Island . It is 61 km² in size. The highest point on the island is 206 meters above sea level. Española is located in the south-east of the Galápagos Islands. Tourists come to the island primarily to see albatrosses and the blue-footed booby mating dance .

Española is the southernmost of the Galápagos Islands. The southeastern tip of Punta Cevallos is the southernmost point.
