Fan Esther Qin (born November 18, 1991 in Guangxi , People's Republic of China ) is an Australian water diver who competes in artificial jumping from the 1 and 3 m board and in synchronized jumping from the 3 m board.

Career

Esther Qin won silver in the 3 m synchronized jumping together with Samantha Mills at the Summer Universiade 2013 in Kazan . In the individual competitions on the 3-meter board and 1-meter board, she came in 5th and 6th. Since 2014, she has been competing in the FINA Grand Prix and the World Series , where she achieved several podium positions in the individual and synchronized jumping of the 3-meter -Board. At the 2014 World Cup in Shanghai , she was eliminated in the semi-finals from the 3-meter board. At the 2014 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow , Qin won gold from the 3-meter board in front of Jennifer Abel and Hannah Starling and bronze from the 1-meter board behind Abel and Maddison Keeney . At the 2015 World Championships , again in Kazan, Esther Qin won bronze in the 3-meter synchronized competition with Samantha Mills and was fourth in the individual on the 3-meter board and fifth on the 1-meter board.

Esther Qin studies at RMIT University in Melbourne .
