Estrus Crayton (* 1972 ) is a retired American football player .

career

The 1.88 meter tall Crayton played in 1989 and 1990 at Santa Ana College in California and in 1991 and 1992 at the University of Southern California in the same US state.

Crayton was employed as a professional football player first with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian league CFL , 1995 and 1996 he then played for the Düsseldorf Panthers in Germany . With the Rhinelander he became German champion and Eurobowl winner in 1995 . From 1997 to 2000 the running back and wide receiver (during his career also used as cornerback and safety ) was in the service of the Braunschweig Lions , with whom he won the German championship title under head coach Kent Anderson in 1997, 1998 and 1999 and the Eurobowl in 1999 .

He followed Anderson in 2001 to the Hamburg Blue Devils and won two further German championships with the Hanseatic League (2001 and 2002). In the run-up to the 2003 season, he joined the Berlin Adlers to work with Anderson again. He moved into the final of the German championship with the capital city in 2004, defeating his former team from Braunschweig 10: 7. Crayton also played in 2005 with the Adler, in the run-up to the 2006 season he moved to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes in the second division and rose with the Fördestädtern in the GFL  . In 2007 Kent Anderson was his coach again. With Kiel, Crayton was German runner-up in 2008.

In the run-up to the 2009 game year, he returned to the Düsseldorf Panthers, who are now in the second division. With Düsseldorf he was promoted to the GFL in 2010, after which he was more than 40 years old in the top German division. He also got involved in the panther youth work.

Crayton played for the Düsseldorf Panthers until 2012, and in the 2013 season he switched to the Dutch champions Alphen Eagles as head coach . He led the team in 2013 to defend the Dutch championship title, for financial reasons the club separated from Crayton after a year. In 2015 he played temporarily for the Cologne Crocodiles in the second division and then went to the Kiel Baltic Hurricanes as a youth coach in July 2015. In the course of 2016 he returned to the Düsseldorf Panthers and was a member of the coaching staff. He then worked in the youth area of ​​the Leverkusen Tornados, in 2018 he became a member of the coaching staff of the fifth division club Düsseldorf Bulldozer.
