history

After they had belonged to the weaker teams of the Mexican women's football championship in the previous tournaments , the Estudiantes de Querétaro reached the semi-finals in the Apertura 2012 against the eventual champions Investigadoras PF , which were clearly lost with 0: 3 and 1: 8. The subsequent Clausura 2013 went even better , in which the team qualified for the finals against the Contadoras de la FCA UASLP by beating Ángeles Morva in the semi- finals . The Contadoras, in turn, had prevailed in the semifinals against the master of the two previous tournaments, Investigadoras PF.

In the final first leg in front of their own audience, Estudiantes did not get beyond a 1-1. The second leg at the Estadio Alfonso Lastras Ramírez of San Luis Potosí also ended in a draw, so that an extension was required to determine the champions . In the end there was a 4-3 victory for the Estudiantes and their first championship title. Dulce María Alvarado scored all four goals for the Estudiantes in the second leg. Also included (in alphabetical order) are Mónica Balderas, Mónica Cabello, Daniela Calderón, Azucena García, María Fernanda Jaramillo, Fernanda Martínez, Salazar Nava, María Dolores Ochoa, Patricia Olvera, Martha Karla María Padilla, Itzel Zúñiga Rojas and, Izamal Torres Erika Urtusástegui to the squad of the championship team.
