Eugen Graf (born January 4, 1873 in Stuttgart , † May 7, 1923 in Stuttgart) was a German politician of the Württemberg Center Party .

Life

Eugen Graf attended the Karls-Gymnasium in Stuttgart and worked for the royal Württemberg post from 1888 . He joined the Württemberg Center Party and the Windthorst League . From 1905 to 1906 and from 1911 to 1918 he was a member of the Citizens' Committee and from 1919 to 1922 of the City Council of Stuttgart. From 1906 to 1918 he had a mandate in the Württemberg state parliament . During the First World War he worked in the General Government of Warsaw for the German Post and Telegraph Administration. During the November Revolution, Graf played an important role in the negotiations for the formation of the Liesching and Blos governments . From November 1919 to June 22, 1920 Graf headed the Württemberg Ministry of Food in the Blos cabinet and then headed the Württemberg Ministry of the Interior in the Hieber cabinet from June 23, 1920 to May 1923. In this function he also had the Württemberg power of attorney for the Reichsrat . From 1919 to 1920 Count belonged to the constituent assembly of the free people's state of Württemberg and from June 1920 until his death in May 1923 to the Württemberg state parliament .
