Eugene Lechner

Eugen Lechner (born June 5, 1903 in Oldesloe ; † September 23, 1971 ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

From 1953 to 1962 he was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the Schleswig-Holstein state parliament .

education and profession

After attending elementary school , Lechner started working for the Post . He later became a commercial clerk. Since 1955 he has been a full-time city councilor in Neumünster .

Lechner was married and had one child.

Political party

Lechner had been a member of the SPD since 1924, and from 1930 also in the Reichsbanner Schwarz-Rot-Gold . After 1945 he became chairman of the SPD district association Eckernförde. Later he also became a member of the state executive committee in Schleswig-Holstein .

Lechner belonged to the city council of Eckernförde and the district council of the Eckernförde district until 1955 .

From 1946 to 1962 Lechner was a member of the state parliament of Schleswig-Holstein. Here he was from December 20, 1946 to May 31, 1950 chairman of the Committee for People's Welfare. In addition, he was deputy chairman from December 20, 1946 and then from May 8, 1947 to May 31, 1950 chairman of the committee for denazification .

Lechner was deputy chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from October 3, 1953 until he left the state parliament .

From February 21, 1955 to February 1, 1956 he was again chairman of the Committee for People's Welfare and finally from November 4, 1958 to December 21, 1960 deputy chairman of the finance committee of the state parliament.

Lechner 1947 directly elected representative of was constituency Eckernförde, in 1958 the constituency Neumünster and otherwise always on the national list drawn into the parliament.

From June 19 to August 29, 1947, Lechner was parliamentary representative of the Minister for Welfare, Labor and Health.
