Eugen Leidig

Eugen Leidig (born October 16, 1861 in Danzig ; † 1935 ) was a German lawyer and politician ( NLP , DVP ).

Life and work

After attending grammar school, Leidig began studying law and political science at the universities of Heidelberg and Leipzig , which he completed in 1887 with the first state examination and in 1890 with the second state examination. He served in the Prussian civil service from 1887 to 1902 and was appointed to the government council in 1899. In addition, he worked as a private lecturer at the Christian Albrechts University in Kiel from 1897 and later became a professor there. From 1902 he acted as managing director and from 1907 as in-house counsel for various industrial associations. In 1925 he became a member of the committee of the Prussian State Bank (sea trading) .

Political party

Leidig was a member of the NLP until 1918 and was one of the founders of the DVP after the November Revolution .

MP

Leidig had been a city ​​councilor in Berlin since 1920 . He was a member of the Prussian State Constitutional Assembly from 1919 to 1921 and was then elected to the Prussian State Parliament, of which he was a member until 1932.
