Eugene of Gienanth

Eugen Freiherr von Gienanth (born September 18, 1846 in Hochstein , † June 2, 1893 in Eisenberg ) was a German ironworks and landowner .

Eugen von Gienanth is the son of Carl von Gienanth and his wife Mathilde von Horn. From 1867 he headed the Eisenberg Gienanth factory . In 1872 he married Elise (1853–1920), daughter of the German entrepreneur Friedrich Engelhorn (1821–1902). They had three sons and three daughters.

After the early death of Eugen von Gienanth in 1893, Elise took over entrepreneurial responsibility and headed the Eisenberg ironworks for 18 years. She is also the client of the Gienanth family's dollhouse , which she had made for her three daughters.
