Eugene Maslov
Eugene Maslov (actually Jewgeni Maslow , Russian Евгений Маслов ; * 1959 in Novotroitsk ) is a Russian jazz pianist , arranger and composer living in the United States .
Live and act
Maslow grew up in St. Petersburg , where he was considered a child prodigy at an early age , and studied classical piano with Lina Berschadskaja at the Mussorgsky Conservatory of Music and then at the Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory , where he also studied jazz. After moving to the United States in 1989, he worked a. a. with Hubert Laws , Bob Sheppard , Gary Burton , Vinnie Colaiuta and Omar Hakim . As an arranger he worked on productions a. a. by Ilona Knofler , Daevid Allen and Ernestine Anderson .
In 1994 he made his debut album with a trio of Ben Street and George Schuller . During 2000, hereby album The Face of Love appeared alongside Eddie Gomez , Willie Jones and Steve Williams also Toots Thielemans and Shirley Horn with guest soloists. Maslov has lived in Philadelphia since 2000 .
