Euphorbia analavelonensis is a species of the genus spurge ( Euphorbia ) in the family of Euphorbiaceae (Euphorbiaceae).

description

The succulent Euphorbia analavelonensis forms shrubs with splayed shoots. The 2 to 3 centimeters thick shoots stand up to about 35 centimeters in length, then lie down and then creep up to about 1 meter in length. Very short side shoots are formed, which are usually covered by the leaves standing on a 2 to 3 millimeter long stem. The leaves, which are in clusters at the shoot ends, are oval-shaped and have a small tip. They are short-lived, growing 4 to 8.5 inches long and 4 to 7 inches wide, being glossy green on top and pale green in color on the underside. The up to 1 centimeter long stipple spines stand together with other short spines in 4 to 5 rows and are thickened at the base.

The simple cymes are on 0.5 to 3 centimeter long inflorescence stalks. The egg-shaped and fine-tipped cyathophylls usually have a short spine at the base, are 5 millimeters long and wide and are yellow-green in color. The cyathia are 4 millimeters wide and 3 millimeters long. The elliptical nectar glands are bright green and the ovary is almost seated. The fruit and the seed are unknown.
