The European Vocational Training Atlas (European JobGuide) is a non-profit and so far unique initiative of the employment offices and social partners between Germany , Austria , Italy and Switzerland .

It is an interactive information and exchange network made up of public institutions , which aims to inform and support schoolchildren , trainees and students in training or starting work abroad. The network also provides advice on the recognition ( nostrification ) of degrees and qualifications acquired abroad. The initiative is funded by the EU Commission and other public institutions.

aims

  • Increase in permeability in the cross-border work and training regions
  • Removal of mobility barriers (information deficits and bureaucratic hurdles in the individual states)
  • More transparency in vocational training and the development of cross-border job profiles
  • Support in the development of a European mobility culture
  • Merging regionally segmented labor markets and balancing regional and sectoral disparities

particularities

The European Vocational Training Atlas initiative is aimed at people who want to complete vocational training in a neighboring country, are looking for a job abroad that matches their qualifications, want to compare professional qualifications across borders or want to find out about the recognition ( nostrification ) of their qualifications abroad and the corresponding national procedure . Based on target group-oriented access (e.g. apprenticeship seekers or education experts), information is intelligently processed depending on the user's interests, regardless of whether the person has a very specific concern (e.g. recognition of a certain profession at a position abroad) or only general information (e.g. minimum school requirements for training in a certain profession).

The European Vocational Training Atlas initiative sees itself primarily as an initial source of information on the way to training or professional activity abroad. In addition to detailed information, users of the initiative will always find tips and contact details for experts and institutions who can provide further and individual advice, as well as links to other national, regional or industry-specific information services.

Depending on the target group, the European Vocational Education and Training Atlas offers a quick search function, a detailed search or a guided search in order to guide users as precisely as possible to the information or contact they are looking for. The European Vocational Training Atlas also makes use of the new and innovative possibilities of the World Wide Web as a source of information and communication platform. Registered users (e.g. education experts , recognition experts, public employment agencies ) can independently adapt, update and expand the European Vocational Training Atlas . Access to the internal database with one login is granted to every registered user.
