The bayme - Bayerischer Unternehmensverband Metall und Elektro e. V. is an association of companies in the metal and electrical industry in Bavaria and is based in Munich . In contrast to its sister organization, the Association of the Bavarian Metal and Electrical Industry , bayme is not subject to collective bargaining agreements.

The central task of bayme - Bayerischer Unternehmensverband Metall und Elektro e. V. represents the common macroeconomic, social and political interests of all member companies that have their headquarters or a branch in Bavaria. There is no collective bargaining agreement linked to membership in bayme. The focal points of the association include labor and social law, collective working conditions, economic policy, social policy, education, Europe, economics and public relations.

The association has offices in Augsburg , Coburg , Munich, Nuremberg , Regensburg , Passau and Würzburg . Association president is Wolfram Hatz , chief executive is Bertram Brossardt . The association has 2530 members.

Currently (2020) there are 280,835 employees and 15,317 trainees employed in bayme member companies.

The association is a member association of the Association of Bavarian Business .

structure

Regional

The association is based on the Bavarian administrative districts in terms of its geographical structure and thus has seven regional district groups. These are located in:

  • Nuremberg (Middle Franconia)
  • Passau (Lower Bavaria)
  • Munich (Upper Bavaria)
  • Coburg (Upper Franconia)
  • Regensburg (Upper Palatinate)
  • Augsburg (Swabia)
  • Würzburg (Lower Franconia)

The association also has liaison offices in Brussels and New York.

The main office in the House of Bavarian Economy in Munich is organized into the following departments:

  • Education and integration
  • Operations, Marketing, ICT, Chief Digital Officer

Projects

Bayme examines ideas and new concepts in a practical test. Most of the projects are implemented in the member companies. In this respect, they are used directly by the participating member companies and are made available to all members via reports, guidelines and at events. Here are some examples:

  • career (me) - applicant portal for skilled workers, engineers and managers
  • career international (me) - applicant portal for skilled workers, engineers and executives from Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Italy, Spain
  • power25 + (me) - The companies participating in power (me) enable young people who have not yet started an apprenticeship in the Bavarian metal and electrical industry due to their academic performance and social skills, to enter an M + E profession.
  • healthy (me) - Telephone advice service for employees of member companies within the framework of the mental health action program at work
  • Bavaria training offensive
