concept

The European Theater House serves as a service facility and coordination point for the regional, national and international associations and institutions involved. It is a platform for theater groups, theater associations, specialists and networks as well as theater education in Europe. A technically and politically sustainable theater network of people, organizations and activities is to be developed within the ETH. Individuals, associations and theater groups can become members.

Theater is seen as a means of overcoming language barriers and understanding and actively participating in culture and society. It contributes to the social development and cultural education of the individual as well as to an active and complex examination of "one's own" and "foreign" cultural and social identity in the sense of a European citizenship.

Promoting the participation of people in the European integration process while respecting cultural diversity, as well as exchange and cooperation in the common cultural area of Europe are the tasks of the association. European databases, specialist conferences, theater encounters and projects, intercultural research and publications enable European observation and updating of the common subject.

The association can take on other tasks related to the interests of the professionally and non-professionally oriented theater business. The practical implementation of the model should be reflected in the points of scientific work, project work and research into funding structures. By supporting and realizing projects in collaboration with theater professionals of all ages, the ETH would like to continuously win (e) partners across Europe.
