The Europaplatz is a square in the city center of Braunschweig .

Europaplatz is part of the new City-Ring and is located to the west of the old station between the city center and the western ring area. The Kalenwall , the Gieseler , the Gieselerwall , the Theodor-Heuss-Straße, the Holzhof and the Konrad-Adenauer-Straße branch off from the square . Until the EU expansion in 2004, 16 masts with the flags of the 15 member states of the European Union and the European flag stood on a green area on Europaplatz . The flagpoles were later expanded to 25.
