European elections in Austria 1996
The European elections in Austria in 1996 were the first elections for Austrian members of the European Parliament . It took place on October 13, 1996 during the current legislative period 1994–1999 after Austria joined the European Union on January 1, 1995 . Eight parties applied for the 21 mandates.
