Europese Literatuurprijs
Every year since 2011, the Dutch literature prize Europese Literatuurprijs has awarded the best contemporary European novel that was published in the previous year - translated into Dutch . The author of the award-winning novel will receive € 10,000, the translator € 5,000.
The award goes back to the initiative of the Dutch Foundation for Literature Nederlands Letterenfonds as well as the academic-cultural center SPUI25 , the weekly newspaper De Groene Amsterdammer and the Athenaeum Boekhandel . It is sponsored by the Lira Fund and various independent bookstores. The book proposals come from Dutch and Flemish bookstores, the decision of who will receive the award is made by an expert jury.

- 2015: Jenny Erpenbeck - Een handvol sneeuw , translated from the German ( Aller Tage Abend ) by Elly Schippers
- 2016: Sandro Veronesi - Zeldzame aarden , translated from Italian ( Terra rare ) by Rob Gerritsen
- 2017: Max Porter - Verdriet is het ding met veren , translated from English ( Grief is the Thing with Feathers ) by Saskia van der Lingen
- 2018: Johan Harstad - Max, Mischa & het Tet-offensive , translated from Norwegian ( Max, Mischa & Tetoffensiven ) by Edith Koenders and Paula Stevens
- 2019: Arno Geiger - Onder de Drachenwand translated from the German ( Unter der Drachenwand ) by Wil Hansen
