Eurovision 2018: You decide took place on February 7th 2018 and was the British preliminary decision for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon ( Portugal ).

format

concept

After Great Britain announced its participation in the ESC 2018, it was subsequently announced that, as in 2016 and 2017 , the preliminary decision Eurovision: You decide will take place again. The concept will be the same as in 2016 and 2017. A total of six entries compete against each other, with 50% jury voting and 50% determining the winner at the end. He will then represent Great Britain at the ESC 2018.

Moderation

On November 16, 2017, the BBC announced that in addition to Mel Giedroyc, who moderated the 2016 and 2017 preliminary rounds alone, the 2015 ESC winner , Måns Zelmerlöw , will present the show as the moderator. The BBC wants to make the ESC in Great Britain look more serious again.

Choice of contribution

From September 29th to October 27th 2017 interested musicians were able to submit their contributions. Then the Eurovision fan club OGAE UK selected all entries and selected the six best for the preliminary decision.

Attendees

On January 24, 2018, all six participants and their contributions were published.
