Eurydema (Eurydema) gebleri is a Wanzenart from the family of stink bugs (Pentatomidae).
features
The bugs reach a body length of 5 to 9 millimeters. They are colored black and have a yellow, orange or reddish pattern, whereby the color tones can vary. The juga are colored orange on the sides. There are usually two large black spots with an orange border on the pronotum. There is a Y-shaped orange drawing on the scutellum. An orange band runs across the Cuneus . The outer edge of the forewings is colored orange. The ventral side of the abdomen has two longitudinal rows of black spots.
distribution
Eurydema gebleri is a Palearctic species. It occurs in Russia , Siberia , Mongolia , northern China and Korea .
Way of life
Eurydema gebleri is a polyphagous type of bug. They are often found on cruciferous vegetables (Brassicaceae) such as pepper cabbage ( Lepidium latifolium ) or wrinkled rapeseed yolk ( Rapistrum rugosum ).
Taxonomy
According to Sunghoon Jung, Izyaslav M. Kerzhner and Seunghwan Lee, the species Eurydema rugosa , which also occurs in the Far East, is not an independent species, but a subspecies of Eurydema gebleri . According to their taxonomic studies, there are the following subspecies:
