Eva Bertram

Eva Bertram (* 1964 in Freiburg im Breisgau ) is a German photographer and film artist.

Life

Bertram spent her childhood in the country near Freiburg im Breisgau, from 1971 she grew up in Munich - Untergiesing . In 1984 she moved to Berlin to study philosophy and art history , and in 1986 to Essen , where she studied communication design at the Folkwang School . Eva Bertram discovered photography as a medium during her studies, which she began with a focus on painting and free graphics. From 1988 she was a student of Jürgen Klauke with a focus on artistic photography and experimental short film . In 1994 she passed her diploma there with distinction.

Eva Bertram has also been teaching since 2002, including teaching assignments at the Muthesius Kunsthochschule Kiel (2005–2007) and the University of the Arts Berlin (since 2012), and since 2007 as a lecturer at the Berliner Neue Schule für Fotografie.

Eva Bertram lives and works in Berlin, she has a daughter.
