Eva Cendon

Eva Cendon (* 1971 in Graz ) is an Austrian educator .

Life

From 1990 to 1993 she trained as a primary school teacher at the Pedagogical Academy in Graz-Seckau . From 1994 to 1999 she completed a diploma course in pedagogy with a focus on adult education as well as women and gender studies at the Institute for Educational Sciences at the University of Graz . From 1999 to 2005 she completed a doctoral degree in philosophy at the University of Graz with a focus on adult education and women's and gender studies. From 1999 to 2005 she was a research assistant at the Universities of Graz and Klagenfurt . From 2001 to 2002 she did a research stay at the University of Utrecht as part of her doctoral studies. From 2005 to 2008 she was a research assistant at the Department for Further Education Research and Education Management at Danube University Krems . From 2009 to 2016 she headed the research center for further education research and education management at the German University for Further Education (DUW), development and management of the extra-occupational master’s degree in education and competence management. From 2016 to 2018 she was a research assistant in the lifelong learning department at the FernUniversität in Hagen . Since April 2016 she has been a member of the overall management of the project: Scientific support for the federal-state competition "Advancement through education: open universities". Since March 2018 she has been teaching in Hagen as the holder of the Chair for Scientific Further Education and University Didactics .

Her research focuses on concepts and strategies of lifelong learning, competence and learning outcome orientation and their implementation in teaching / learning processes, reflection and reflexivity in teaching-learning processes, roles of teachers in higher education and approaches of action research and practical research.
