Eva Christina Zeller
Eva Christina Zeller (born July 2, 1960 in Ulm ) is a German poet , freelance writer and radio journalist .
Life
Eva Christina Zeller grew up in Stuttgart as the daughter of a Protestant pastor and studied philosophy , German , theater studies and rhetoric in Berlin and Tübingen . In 1988 she became a lecturer at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand . Today she works as a freelance writer and radio journalist and teaches creative writing at the Leibniz College at the University of Tübingen. Her work includes prose texts, plays and volumes of poetry. She lives in Tübingen and is the mother of two daughters.

Eva Christina Zeller has been publishing poetry since she was 21 years old. Associative images of nature, often captured in sentence fragments, are characteristic of her poetry. It is not so much society that reflects the self, but trees and the sea, the changing of the seasons and the light. In addition, animals in Eva Christina Zeller's poems are ambiguous close relatives in which the lyrical self thinks ahead.
Another important area of motif are apparently banal everyday objects, in which the hope or forlornness of human life is reflected, often also objects from Greek mythology or Grimm's fairy tales, for example bread that needs to be taken out of the oven as a metaphor for a desire for Salvation.
The collection of poems The Invention of Your Presence (2012) deals in a radically abbreviated form with the subject of mourning a deceased person in 99 short poems.
Eva Christina Zeller's poetry has been recognized by many well-known authors, including Paul Hofmann, Walter Jens , Karl-Josef Kuschel and Kurt Marti .
