Eva Paulin
Eva Paulin (* 1955 in Graz , Austria ) is an Austrian theater director and set designer . She lives in Luxembourg and Montreal.
life and career
Eva Paulin grew up bilingual and in two cultures. Romance and oriental studies at the University of Graz and at the same university stage design and costume studies. Their children with Jean Paul Maes were born in 1982, 1988 and 1990. There were long phases in which she devoted herself exclusively to her children.
1985 to 1988 freelance stage designer in Germany. 1988 Luxembourg. Eva Paulin strives to overcome the narrowness created by describing or naming an object or a sensation. She looks at something until the external picture and her name soften and through her weaving tissue it reveals the view of other facets or of nothingness. In her directorial work, she dissolves the literary requirement until life penetrates that can affect the viewer.
