Thierry van Werveke

Thierry van Werveke (born October 23, 1958 in Geneva , Switzerland , † January 11, 2009 in Luxembourg ) was a Luxembourgish actor and singer.

Life

Thierry van Werveke made his first acting experiences in 1982 in Andy Bausch's short film Stefan . This also made other directors aware of him, for example he played in films by Frank Feitler , Marc Olinger , Pol Cruchten and Til Schweiger . Abracadabra by Harry Cleven was his first film in French. With his role as Belgian Henk in Knockin 'on Heaven's Door , he became known to the German audience. Since then he has played roles in German films and television series on a regular basis. In addition to his film engagements, he played theater and was active as a singer in the two Luxembourg bands Nazz Nazz and Taboola Rasa .

Andy Bausch shot the film biography inthierryview as a kind of portrait and homage in 2008 after it became known that Thierry van Werveke was seriously ill. Thierry van Werveke died on January 11th, 2009 at the age of 50 after a long and serious illness. Til Schweiger dedicated his film Zweiohrküken posthumously to him and Barbara Rudnik .
