Eva Roth (* 1974 in Herisau ) is a Swiss writer .

life and career

Roth was born in Herisau in 1974 and grew up in Schwellbrunn. She taught at the primary level and ran a day care center. She has been an editor at the picture book publisher Atlantis since 2014 .

Her staged text Astor is dead was nominated for the TREIBHAUS Young Talent Award in 2014 and was produced as a radio play as one of the ten best manuscripts of the 1st short radio play manuscript competition at the Leipzig radio play summer 2014.

Her first picture book Under Bodo's Bed was published by Atlantis in spring 2015 with illustrations by Artem Kostyukevich. The novel Blanko was published by edition 8 in the autumn of the same year . The culture magazine Saiten described Blanko as a “unique debut” with cleverly calculated narrative threads. The NZZ highlighted the “unpretentious, clear style”.

Roth lives with her family in Zurich .
