Evan Karagias (born November 27, 1973 in Gastonia, North Carolina ) is a former American professional wrestler of Greek descent. He is married and has 4 children.

Career

Before wrestling time

Before Karagias got into wrestling, he worked as a model. He has been featured in numerous fitness magazines, including Men's Workout . In 1996 Karagias worked for Calvin Klein . He also worked as an actor and stuntman. Karagias holds a degree in Political Science and Drama and a Wrestler Scholarship from North Carolina State University.

Active wrestling time

Karagia's wrestling career began in the WCW Powerplant. He was trained there and used as a jobber for the first time . He later appeared under the name Evan Courageous . Then he changed his ring name again and fought under his real name Evan Kourageous . In 1999 Karagias was able to secure the WCW Cruiserweight Championship from Disco Inferno at Mayhem .

Three count

Evan Karagias, Shane Helms and Shannon Moore were the first wrestling boy band. They called themselves Three Count . The three first appeared on Thunder on December 23, 1999. In the 2000 Superbrawl they defeated Norman Smiley in a handicap match. On February 28th, the three defeated Brian Knobbs to become WCW Hardcore Champions . On November 1, 2000, they fell out during a match against the Jung Dragons, Karagias and Moore but got back together on February 19, 2001.

The WCW becomes the WWF

In March 2001, Karagias was taken over by WWF after WCW was sold. In 2001, Karagias was sent to the HWA in August to improve his skills, and in December he was released from the WWF.

AWA

After he was released from the WWF, he joined the AWA . Karagias was then very successful and was able to win the AWA Heavyweight title three times. On October 28, 2006, Evan Karagias announced his retirement as a wrestler.
