History, building description and equipment

Wilhelmshof Evangelical Chapel from the north.

The foundation stone for the chapel was laid in 1910. After the bell was installed, it was consecrated in 1913 and officially handed over to the community. It still stands in a picturesque location just outside the village on a meadow on a slope near the Schillerbach. The chapel is the youngest church building in the Löcknitz parish.

The chapel is a plastered building in simple Art Nouveau forms . The narrower transverse rectangular western part with the roof tower and the southern stair tower is integrated into the hall structure. There is a small rectangular choir on the east side, and a flat round arched niche on the west portal. The roof tower is an open tower with a four-sided curved hood. On the long sides there are small rectangular windows in flat wall templates with arched gables. The entire chapel was restored in 2002/03 and completely renovated in 2004.

Inside there is a painted wooden barrel in the nave . In the altar niche is a massive barrel with an illusionistic coffer painting and a round skylight with vegetable-ornamental lead glazing. The east wall is painted with a vine with vines, on the north side is the sacristy niche. The base zone is painted in the three harmonizing colors of red (night), purple (penance) and blue (sky) and thus liturgically indicates the theme of the Lord's Supper. The chapel is furnished with uniform wooden furnishings in simple Art Nouveau forms with an altarpiece, pulpit and octagonal baptism, west gallery and stalls. The cheeks are painted in pairs with Art Nouveau ornaments. A tiled stove for heating is available.

The only bell in the chapel from 1913 was cast by Carl Voss from Stettin.
