The interior of the church was designed according to plans by the Berlin sculptor August Rhades . The parish includes nine villages with a total of about 650 parishioners (as of December 31, 2008).

Building description

The church is in the neo-baroque style . The church tower is 41 meters high and carries the largest bell in Brandenburg. The single-nave church building is structured by pilasters and arched windows and is crowned by a mighty mansard roof . To the east is an apse divided by arched and oculi windows as well as pilasters and cornices .

The west portal leads into the church, above which there is an image of Christ with outstretched arms. The nave is spanned by a barrel vault with a coffered ceiling and offers space for 800 people. The coffered ceiling consists of 176 fields with different motifs. The fire in the previous building is reported in one field.

Furnishing

In the chancel there is a mighty golden depiction of Jesus crucified. God is represented at the top of the cross and an angel at each end of the crossbar. The stained glass windows in the sanctuary represent the birth, ascension and resurrection of Jesus . The column capitals are on display lines from the Lord's Prayer decorated and corresponding images.

The font from the first half of the 18th century comes from the previous church that burned down in 1914.

organ

The pneumatic organ was built in 1920 by the organ builder Gustav Heinze (Sorau). The cone store instrument has 27 registers (approx. 1700 pipes) on two manuals and a pedal.
