Evangelical Church Lahde

The Protestant Church is a listed church building in Lahde , a district of the East Westphalian town of Petershagen in the Minden-Lübbecke district in North Rhine-Westphalia .

History and architecture

A church was first mentioned in documents in 1206. The neo-Gothic brick hall with ashlar structure was built from 1892 to 1895 by Johann August Kersten in place of a previous church. The choir is closed polygonally, the west tower is integrated. In the bright interior of the hall church, ribbed vaults rest on round supports.

Furnishing

The church has an unusually complete interior from the construction time.

  • The organ was built by Furtwängler and Hammer in 1894 and restored in 1994.
  • In the vestibule there is a flat notched tympanum relief from the 12th century. It shows the hand of God and ornamental ribbons.
  • The gable top from the second half of the 15th century is finely crafted, it probably comes from a sacrament niche
