Everett is a small town of 1,905 people (2000 census) in Bedford County , Pennsylvania , United States .
Originally the name of the city was Bloody Run , after a tributary of the Juniata, where the battle between settlers and Indians took place. The city was renamed in honor of the politician and speaker Edward Everett .
