Yevgenia Petrovna Antipova ( Russian Евге́ния Петро́вна Анти́пова ; English transcription: Evgenia Petrovna Antipova ; born October 19, 1917 in Toropez ; † January 27, 2009 in Saint Petersburg ) was a Soviet-Russian painter and art teacher .
biography
Yevgenia Antipova was born in Toropez, Pskov Oblast in 1917 , but moved to Samara with her parents at the age of eleven . It was there that she first came into contact with art. In 1935 she moved to Leningrad to study there from 1936 to 1939 at the Srednjaja Chudoschestwennaja Schkola ( Russian Ленингра́дская Сре́дняя худо́жественная шко́ла ), an art school for gifted children and young people. This was integrated into the Russian Imperial Art Academy , where Yevgenia Antipova began studying art in 1939. There she learned from Gleb Savinov and Semjon Abugow, among others . In the same year she took part in an exhibition for young artists in Moscow with some of her early works .
Yevgenia Antipova spent the Second World War during the Leningrad blockade in her university town until she was evacuated to Novosibirsk in 1942, where she continued her work until the end of the war and only afterwards returned to Leningrad. In 1950 she finished her studies with the painting “ A. Zhdanov visits the Pioneers Palace in Leningrad” . Subsequently, she taught painting and composition at the Tavritscheskoje khudoschestvenno-pedagogitscheskoje utschilishche ( Russian Таври́ческое худо́жественно-педагоги́леское уечи́лищческое уечи́лищческое уечи́леское ) until 1956 . During her time there, she was accepted into the Leningrad Association of Soviet Artists ( Russian Санкт-Петербургский Союз художников ) in 1953 .
While Yevgenia Antipova devoted herself more to landscape painting and still life in her youth and as a student , from 1960 onwards she increasingly occupied herself with portraits. In 1967, 1988, 1999 and 2007 she had solo exhibitions in Leningrad and Saint Petersburg. Today her works are partly in private hands and in the Russian Museum in Saint Petersburg.
Yevgenia Antipova was married to Viktor Teterin (1922–1991), who was also a painter.
