Evgeny Vinokurov

Evgeny Vinokurov (born November 20, 1990 in Tyumen , Russia ) is a German-Russian tournament dancer and former management consultant .

life and career

Vinokurov made his first dance moves at the age of 6. At the age of 14 he moved to Germany without his parents. In 2010 he began studying business administration . He successfully completed this in 2015 with a bachelor's degree . He then worked as a management consultant for Ernst & Young in Frankfurt. He also gave dance training in Wetzlar , Darmstadt and Marburg .

Vinokurov also danced during his work as a management consultant and took part in several championships with his dance partner at the time. However, the dance couple separated some time later. From 2005 he danced with Christina Luft , after she had also been looking for a new dance partner.

With her he took part in various championships in Latin American dances, for example the semi-finals of the Blackpool Dance Festival and three times the finals of the World Show Dance Championships in China. The couple became vice world champions as well as vice European champions in over ten dances and German champions in standard . Since 2012 he has been concentrating on Latin American dances

In 2016, Vinokurov and Luft announced that they would end their careers together. The couple were engaged until they split in 2016 .

Let's dance

In 2019 Vinokurov first appeared as a professional dancer in the 12th season of Let's Dance . His dance partner was reality TV participant Evelyn Burdecki , with whom he took 5th place. He took part in the professional special Let's Dance - The Big Professional Challenge in summer 2019 with dancer Marta Arndt and dancer Evgenij Voznyuk . Due to his participation in competitions in dance sport, he will no longer work for Let's Dance in 2020.
