Synopsis

The Guatemalan civil war is long over, people want to forget. But the violence continues, spreading through society like a cancerous tumor. Journalists wait every day for the next murder victim, a social worker looks after the relatives of women who have been killed. The global hunger for cheap resources has sown violence and a war over bananas has become independent. Society is still suffering from the damage caused by the 36-year civil war. Mass graves are found in the mountains , ex-rebels mourn their comrades, and a war criminal dreams at night about everything he has done. Guatemala does not come to rest.
