On the evening of the award ceremony, the nominees and organizers of the Austrian Film Prize were presented in a special edition of Kultur Heute and broadcast live to the town hall several times. The day after, a “Long Night of Austrian Films” will be shown for the first time on ORF.

The nominations were announced on December 17, 2012.
