Ewa Ziętek (born March 8, 1953 in Katowice ) is a Polish theater and film actress .

Life

Ziętek attended the “X Liceum Ogólnokształcące im. Ignacego Jana Paderewskiego “in her native Katowice. She studied acting at the State Theater Academy (Państwowa Wyższa Szkoła Teatralna) in Warsaw , where she obtained her acting diploma in 1975.

From 1975 to 1983 she was a permanent member of the ensemble at the National Theater Warsaw (Teatr Narodowy w Warszawie). From 1984 to 1985 she was engaged at the Warsaw Teatr Rozmaitości. From 1986 to 1987 he worked at the Teatr Dramatyczny in Warsaw. From 1987 on she did not take any theater engagements in Poland for a few years. In 1988 she left Poland for three years and, thanks to her good knowledge of German , worked for theater and film in Germany . In 2000 she was employed at the Teatr Kwadrat in Warsaw.

In addition to her theatrical work, she has appeared in over 60 films. She had her first film roles from the early 1970s, even before graduating from acting. She made her film debut in 1971 in the Polish film One Million for Laura by director Hieronim Przybyl ; she played a girl in Krakow costume. The following year this love must be killed , directed by Janusz Morgenstern . As a film actress, she was best known in Poland for the role of the “girlish-naive bride” in Andrzej Wajda's film The Wedding (1973) alongside Daniel Olbrychski . She worked with Wajda again four years later on the film The Marble Man . This time she had a smaller role as a secretary. In 1977 she played Zośka, the wife of Józef ( Józef Mikuła ), in the feature film Milioner ; 1978 followed the role of the maid Marysia in the TV miniseries Lalka . In 1983 she had a historic role in the television series Blisko, coraz bliżej .

In the 1970s and 1980s she shot with Krzysztof Zanussi ( Spirala , 1978) Stanisław Bareja ( What do you do to me if you catch me? 1978), Henryk Bielski ( Gwiazdy poranne , 1980), Wiesław Saniewski ( Under supervision , 1984) , Barbara Sass ( The girls from Nowolipki , 1986) and Jacek Bromski ( Sztuka kochania , 1989).

In the children's television series Die Kinder vom Mühlental , which was created in 1985 as a Polish- German co-production , she played the continuous serial role of Ms. Dendek; she was the mother of the children Stanni, Bärbel and Anja. From the 1990s she mainly worked for television and only occasionally appeared in films. From 1997 to 2006 she played one of the leading roles as Marta Gabriel in the television series Złotopolscy . In addition, she had smaller and larger roles in other series (among others in Hela w opałach , Kochaj mnie, kochaj! Prawo miasta and Pani Basia, pani Róża ).

In 2009 she played the role of a hairdresser in the short film Wódeczka i panienki ; In 2010 she had roles in the feature films Projekt dziecko, czyli ojciec potrzebny od zaraz (as Anna's mother) and Lullaby (as a welfare recipient). From 2011 further roles in Polish television series followed.

In October 2015 Ziętek played a minor supporting role in the German TV film Heimat ist kein Ort on Das Erste . She played the mother of the Polish notary Krzysztof and his sister. In her short scenes she was not dubbed. She spoke in her original voice in German with a Polish accent.

Ziętek has been married for the third time since 2000 to the German computer graphic artist Rainer Jacob, whom she met during her time in Germany. Her daughter Agata Kryska-Ziętek is also an actress.
