Ewald Georg von Natzmer

Ewald Georg von Natzmer (* around 1721 ; † July 4, 1773 ) was a Prussian legal attorney. Most recently he was President of the Tribunal of the Lauenburg and Bütow Lands .

He came from the noble Pomeranian family Natzmer . His father Ernst Boguslaw von Natzmer (* around 1674; † February 2, 1763) was the heir to Rötzenhagen and Treten . His mother was Adelheid Marie von Puttkamer (* 1694, † March 11, 1754).

Ewald Georg von Natzmer studied law at the University of Halle from 1739 . At the Grod and Regional Court of Lauenburg, he first became a judge, then a Grod and regional judge. In 1765 he received the title of district court director. The Lauenburg and Bütow lands in the east of Pomerania had a special position in Brandenburg-Prussia as fiefs of the Crown of Poland, including their own Grand and Regional Court in Lauenburg and their own tribunal as an appeal body.

In 1770 Natzmer succeeded the late Franz von Somnitz as president of the tribunal of the Lauenburg and Bütow regions . Heinrich Eggard von Woedtke became the new head of the Grod and Landgericht , who also received the title of Chief Captain of the Lands Lauenburg and Bütow previously held by Somnitz.

Natzmer exercised his office until his death in 1773. In the same year, King Friedrich II reorganized the judiciary in the states of Lauenburg and Bütow by ordinance of October 14, 1773, thereby dissolving the Lauenburg tribunal.

In 1766, Ewald Georg von Natzmer acquired the Rötzenhagen family estate , more precisely the Rötzenhagen share (b), from his brother Klaus Ludwig von Natzmer (* April 23, 1728; † April 28, 1805). After his death in 1773 bankruptcy proceedings were opened against his estate, in the course of which Rötzenhagen was lost to the Natzmer family.
