Ewald Hitz

Ewald Hitz (born December 7, 1891 in Warsow , Randow district , † after 1937) was a German politician ( DNVP ).

Life

Ewald Hitz was born the son of a farmer. He attended elementary school from 1898 to 1905 and the advanced training school in Warsow near Stettin from 1905 to 1909 . He then worked in his father's agriculture and industry. From 1914 to 1918 he took part in the First World War as a soldier . During the war in 1914 he was used in the First Aisne Battle and the fighting for Ypres . After his transfer to the Eastern Front , he was involved in the offensive against Russia and the trench warfare on the Pripyat from 1915. He was awarded the Iron Cross II. Class and retired from the Prussian Army as a Vice Sergeant .

After his return, Hitz worked again in his father's farm. From 1921 to 1932 he was the workers 'secretary and district manager for West Pomerania of the workers' group of the Pomeranian Land Association in Greifswald . The West Pomeranian District was part of the Pomeranian District Association of the Reichslandarbeiterbund . In 1932 he took over the workers' group of the Märkisches Landbund.

Hitz was elected to the Prussian Landtag for the German National People's Party (DNVP) in May 1928 , to which he belonged until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 6 (Pomerania). In 1927 he asked for membership in the NSDAP for the first time , which he joined in 1937.
