Ewald Lechner

Ewald Lechner (born May 3, 1926 in Passau ; † October 27, 2011 in Landau an der Isar ) was a German politician ( CSU ).

Life

Lechner attended the Humanist High School in Passau , then participated in the war and was imprisoned in the Czech and American countries. He then did forestry training and the state examination, after which he was a teacher at the Goldberg forest workers' school and at the Regensburg Forestry Directorate and at various forestry offices. In 1953 he became district manager in Landau .

In 1964 Lechner became CSU district chairman, in 1966 deputy district administrator and parliamentary group chairman. He was a member of the district board of the CSU Niederbayern , the main committee of the district association and the regional planning committee. From 1970 to 1990 he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament , from 1974 directly elected in the Dingolfing constituency .

Lechner died in October 2011 after a short illness of pneumonia .
