Fábio da Silva (athlete)
Fábio da Silva ( Fábio Gomes da Silva; born August 4, 1983 in Campinas ) is a Brazilian pole vaulter .
In 2007 he won the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro and was tenth at the World Athletics Championships in Osaka . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, he was eliminated in the preliminary round, and at the 2009 World Cup in Berlin he remained in the preliminary round without a valid attempt.
In 2011 he was eighth at the World Athletics Championships in Daegu and fifth at the Pan American Games in Guadalajara . At the 2012 Olympic Games in London, he failed to qualify for a valid attempt.
