The Félicie Point ( French Cap Félicie ) is a headland that forms the southern end of Lion Island in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It is located immediately east of Anvers Island at the transition from Gerlache Strait to Lion Sound .
Participants in the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery mapped and named them. The further naming background has not been passed down. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names transferred in 1953 the French designation into English.
