Felix del Blanco Prieto
Félix del Blanco Prieto (born June 15, 1937 in Morgovejo , Castile-León , Spain ) is a retired Curia Archbishop .
Life
Félix del Blanco Prieto was ordained a priest on May 27, 1961 . On May 31, 1991, he was appointed Titular Archbishop of Vannida and Apostolic Pro-Nuncio of São Tomé and Príncipe and Apostolic Delegate in Angola by John Paul II . He was ordained bishop by Agostino Cardinal Casaroli on July 6th of the same year. In 1996 he became Apostolic Nuncio in Cameroon and Equatorial Guinea , in 2003 in Malta and Libya .
On July 28, 2007, he was appointed to succeed Oscar Rizzato as President of the Apostolic Alms Administration (Papal Almsman ). Pope Benedict XVI also appointed him on May 9, 2009 a member of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples .
On November 3, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Félix del Blanco Prieto for reasons of age.
