Förderberg

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A conveyor mountain is a sloping stretch that connects the floors of a mine . The conveyor mountain is also used to connect the seams to the mine workings. Conveying mountains are mostly in place of a blind shaft ascended .

use

For several years now, mining mountains have also replaced day shafts . This option is used in particular when the conveyor mountain can be used to make a more favorable connection to the mine field . Conveyor mountains are equipped with belt systems in which conveyor belts with a width of up to 1400 mm are used. The belts have steel inserts instead of textile inserts. Most of the time, the conveyor systems are set up to convey the upper and lower strand. In addition to the conveyor system, a wider run has been set up which, if necessary, can be driven over or walked on for revision and repair of the conveyor system. Most mining peaks have a rise of between 9 and 15 gon .

Practical examples

At the Prosper-Haniel mine there is the only daily conveyor mountain in the Ruhr mining industry ; whose belt return was used for the return transport of dead rock . In 2008, the 7500 meter long and 800 ton heavy conveyor belt was replaced as scheduled. Hanns Ketteler , mine director of the Verbundzeche Prosper-Haniel from 1974 to 1992, is considered the father of the Förderberg.
