The Baden-Württemberg Management Academy is an institution of the state of Baden-Württemberg for executives from the public sector. The leadership academy was founded in 1986 by Prime Minister Lothar Späth . The headquarters of the management academy is the Schwedenpalais in Karlsruhe , the branch is the moderation center in Stuttgart .

The academy accompanies, advises, qualifies and networks institutions, managers and employees in the public sector. The focus is on accompanying executives in change processes, coaching, developing strategic goals in the public sector, business process optimization, health promotion, personnel selection, qualification of young executives and quality improvement.
history
The facility was founded in 1986 in Karlsruhe by the state government of Baden-Württemberg under Prime Minister Lothar Späth in order to prepare particularly qualified civil servants for leading management positions in the state administration as part of an 11-month leadership course ; there are now over 400 graduates. In 2001 the state parliament of Baden-Württemberg passed the law to reorganize the leadership academy. Since then, the management academy has served as an institution under public law for the professional qualification of the public service within the framework of an integrated and future-oriented personnel and organizational development. In 2002, the leadership academy opened up with its new education program for new target groups from state administration, local administration and other public service institutions.
