Otto Rundel

Otto Rundel (born August 19, 1927 in Ravensburg , † May 26, 2010 in Karlsruhe ) was a German lawyer .

Live and act

Otto Rundel attended elementary school and the Spohn grammar school in his home town of Ravensburg . A two-year deployment as an air force helper and soldier interrupted his school days. 1946 enrolled him at the University of Munich . He studied law and economics and has been at the University of Cologne to Dr. iur. PhD. Since his studies he has been a member of the Catholic student association KSSt.V. Alemannia Munich . In 1947 he joined the CDU . During the reign of Baden-Württemberg's Prime Minister Kurt Georg Kiesinger , he was his personal advisor and later one of his close confidants. In 1975 he became President of the Baden-Württemberg Court of Auditors . After he left in 1991, Rundel was honorary president of the Baden-Württemberg Management Academy until 1995 .

He died in May 2010 at the age of 82 in Karlsruhe and is buried in the main cemetery of his hometown Ravensburg.
