action

F-117

The United States Air Force wants to bring two F-117 Nighthawk stealth jets back from Turkey to the USA in a top secret action . But during the transport on board a C-5 Galaxy, brutal terrorists storm the scene and take control on board. Only the fighter pilot Christopher Winfield can evade capture. In the course of the story it turns out that the unscrupulous arms dealer and leader of the terrorist group Phillips also previously served in the air force, but was dismissed. In revenge, he wants to sell the stealth bombers on the black market. To prevent this, Winfield uses guerrilla tactics to kill one terrorist after the other until Phillips tries to run away with the stealth jets and disappears from the tailgate of the aircraft. But Winfield is pursuing him. Chris kills Phillips in a rapid air battle.

Action note

The wingspan of the F-117A is much larger than the width of the cargo hold of a C-5. So it is not possible to transport an F-117A with attached wings in a C-5.

Production and publication

The film was produced by Trimark Pictures in 1992 and directed by Michael Cohn. The script was written by John D. Brancato and Michael Ferris, and the music was composed by Richard Marvin. After its theatrical release, the film was also released on video cassette and was translated into several languages. It was released in German on DVD in 2007 by Kurt Media.

criticism

“An adventure film of excessive exaggeration. The considerable amount of visual effects and brutalities played out save him neither from boredom nor from the impression of intrusive stupidity. "
