Michael Cohn (* in the 20th century) is an American film director and screenwriter who became internationally known for cinema productions such as Murdered on July 16 , Snow White and Sacrifice .

life and career

Michael Cohn earned a Masters of Arts in film production from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Arts in journalism from the University of Oklahoma . Cohn began his career as a director in the early 1990s with the science fiction film F-117 A Stealth-War with Jürgen Prochnow in the lead role. In 1994, he directed the thriller murdered on 16 July in the cast Ally Walker , Martin Sheen and Ron Perlman , to which he also wrote the screenplay. The film won the Grand Prix Vidéo Award at the 1995 Cognac Festival du Film Policier . In 1997 he shot a horror version of the fairy tale Snow White with Sigourney Weaver and Sam Neill .

In 2014, the drama Sacrifice was created under his direction and script version . The main roles spieltem Dermot Mulroney , Luke Klein Tank and Austin Abrams .

In addition to his work as a director and screenwriter, he also works as a lecturer in several areas of film production such as direction, screenplay, camera and lighting. He has been with Houston Community College since January 2012.

Michael Cohn is a member of the Writers Guild of America , West.
