history
In 1995 a football team was organized next to a basketball club from Šiauliai. In a sports club there were two sports and corresponding teams. The soccer team initially played in lower leagues. After the FK Sakalas Šiauliai was dissolved in 2003, the football department was spun off as FK Šiauliai and played in the A lyga from the 2005 season . A 9th place in the 2015 season meant relegation from the top division, after which the club was dissolved in 2016.
