The FC Büderich 02 e. V. is a football club from Büderich , a district of Meerbusch .

history

The FC Büderich is in 2002 from the merger of BV Buederich with the football department of TuRa Buederich emerged. The football activities in Büderich were founded in 1915 under the club name VfR Büderich . In 1926, the Büderich community built the sports field at the office and handed it over to the club. On May 30, 1946, the VfR Büderich merged with the gymnastics club Büderich to form the sports club TuRa Büderich 09/15 e. V. The club's first coach after the Second World War was the national player Paul Janes ( Fortuna Düsseldorf ). From 1956 to 1965 the club belonged to the top group in the 1st district  class in the Düsseldorf district . In 1965 he was promoted to the district class . In the same year, the Eisenbrand stadium became the club's new sporting home. In 1967 promotion to the regional league was achieved. Just one year later, they were promoted to the Niederrhein Association League , the highest German amateur league .

In the third class association league, TuRa established itself in the following years and competed with well-known clubs and former second division clubs such as Bayer 05 Uerdingen , Eintracht Duisburg , VfB Bottrop , Sterkrade 06/07 and Rheydter SV . The club achieved the best placings in 1971 and 1972 with third place in the table. During these years, TuRa Büderich also repeatedly celebrated cup successes and penetrated the main round of the West German Cup. In 1968, Büderich failed in the first round at the second division VfR Neuss (0: 6), in 1970 at Fortuna Düsseldorf (0: 3) and in 1971, after a 4: 2 over 1. FC Mülheim, the second round against Schwarz-Weiß Essen followed (0: 1). TuRa was last represented in the West German Cup in 1972/73, in the first main round the club won 4-2 against TuS Grevenbroich and lost 4-1 in the following round against Bayer 05 Uerdingen . In 1973 the sporting descent finally began, the association league could not be held and three years later TuRa Büderich also said goodbye to the state league.

In May 1983 BV Büderich (BVB) was founded by ten active players. From 1983 to 2001 BVB created a competitive situation in Büderich and was more successful than local rival TuRa Büderich . While TuRa had to accept relegations up to the district league B, BV Büderich rose to the district league of the Lower Rhine Football Association . In 2001, merger talks began again, which in February 2002 enabled the successful merger in FC Büderich 02. The club colors were defined as blue-black-white.
