Willi Hetfeld (born August 24, 1947 ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

Willi Hetfeld, who was promoted to the Bundesliga from Ratinger SV, played for Fortuna Düsseldorf from 1966 to 1970 . With Düsseldorf he played in the Bundesliga in the 1966/67 season . On the 11th matchday it gave its premiere in the upper house of German football, when he was used by coach Kuno Klötzer for the first time in the 1: 3 home defeat against 1. FC Cologne. The fortune attack was occupied by Hilmar Hoffer , Hetfeld, Peter Meyer , Jürgen Schult and Jürgen Koch . By the end of the season he had played seven more Bundesliga games. But he could not prevail against the internal offensive competition for Waldemar Gerhardt , Reinhold Straus , Meyer, Hoffer, Schult and Koch. Hetfeld finished 17th with his teammates and was relegated to the Regionalliga West.

In the next three rounds, on the other hand, he was part of the Fortunen team in the Regional Football League West . After sixth place in 1968, fourth place followed twice in the rounds of 1968/69 and 1969/70. The technically adept and well-started attacker came under the coaches Ernst Melchior , Bernd Oles (1967/68) and Otto Knefler from 1967 to 1970 on a total of 79 regional league appearances and scored 20 goals. In the summer of 1970 he ended his high-class playing career and allowed himself to be reamateurised.
