The football club Dingolfing e. V. is a football club from the Lower Bavarian town of Dingolfing .

history

The association was founded after the First World War on November 30, 1918 under the name SpVgg Dingolfing. The name was changed to FC Dingolfing in March 1919 for unknown reasons. First, a meadow below the Isar bridge was used as a playing field. In the autumn of 1919, a meadow from the Lex farm was rented until the spring of 1920, before the city finally made the property at the Hackermühle available by the city in 1920. The construction of the outdoor pool took place in the immediate vicinity. FC Dingolfing played on the Hackermühle pitch for over 30 years.

After the Second World War , the association merged with TV Dingolfing to form SV Dingolfing at the end of the occupation forces , but the merger was dissolved again in 1948 when the military government released the association. From 1950 both clubs began building the Isar-Wald-Stadion together, which was completed after four years.

In terms of sport, the Dingolfing people mostly did not get beyond the district and district level for many years. The top division was the state league , to which they belonged for a total of 20 years, for the first time from 1963. In the 2012/13 season they were last represented in the top division of the Bavarian Football Association .

In 2007 the FCD built its club house at the stadium.
