history
The original founding of the association goes back to 1979. In 2003 today's FC Helsingborg was created with the merger of the two clubs Högaborgs BK and Ramlösa. In spring Ramlösa disconnected from Högaborg. This is how today's club FC Helsingborg was born. The club took over the place of Högaborg in the Elitserien, today's Svenska Superligan (SSL). The men have been playing in the SSL since 2003.
The men's team of the club has already qualified for the playoffs several times, but has never made it into the final of the SSL. The women play in Division 1 Skåne.
